Clemens Pfitzer studied law at the University of Tübingen and subsequently completed his legal clerkship in Stuttgart and Vista, CA, USA.
Since 2005, Clemens Pfitzer has been practicing law, first in Hamburg and later in Stuttgart. In 2010, he was one of the founding partners of Kurz Pfitzer Wolf & Partner.
Clemens Pfitzer is a specialist in intellectual property law and a specialist in information technology law (IT law).
He is best known for his work as a strategic advisor and litigator, including representation in cross-border proceedings and trademark piracy. He can draw on experience from hundreds of proceedings in this area.
Clemens Pfitzer’s particular expertise lies in the area of certification marks, which have been introduced in the EU since 2017. Here, Clemens Pfitzer has successfully litigated dozens of cases, thus shaping case law in the EU on the subject.
Mr. Pfitzer’s experience as a litigator has also influenced his work in trademark strategy, filing and prosecution. He manages trademarks for his clients in more than 110 countries and thus also has profound knowledge of international trademark law.
Mr. Pfitzer represents clients in many industries, including textiles, fashion, software, food and beverage, engineering, e-commerce, online services and other consumer products.
He is an active member of the German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (GRUR), INTA and ECTA.
He is also a lecturer at the University of Public Administration and Finance in Ludwigsburg and at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) in Stuttgart.
